Precision linear guide rail installation design principles

Sep 15, 2024

For precision and straight guide rails (such as CNC machine tools and measuring machines) with high requirements for geometric accuracy, exercise accuracy and positioning accuracy, some principles should be followed during design:

1. The principle of error compensation meets the following three requirements to enable the rail system to implement errors to compensate each other:

(1) The intermediate elasticity link must be set up between the rails, such as rolling plastic bands (slices) or fluid membrane.

(2) There must be sufficient pre -tightening between the rails to compensate for contact error.

(3) The manufacturing error of the guide rail should be less than the deformation of the intermediate elastic body (component).

2. The accuracy of accuracy and non -interference principles The accuracy of the guidance rails when using and use does not affect each other to obtain higher accuracy. For example, the straight linearity of the rectangular guide and the straight linearity of the side guide rail does not affect each other; the changes in the horizontal size of the flat-V guide rail combined guide rail will not affect the working accuracy of the guide rail.

3. When the principle of movement and static rubbing factor is close to the design guide rail, the movement of the guide rail contact surface and the static rubbing factor should be approached to obtain high repeated positioning accuracy and low speed smoothness. Sliding guide rails, small and quiet friction factor, and close friction factor.

4. The principle of the auxiliary self -inspiration of the guide rail must make the guide rail high, and the characteristics of the guide rail must have the characteristics of automatic posts. The horizontal guide can be used by the weight of the motion component; other guide rails must attach spring force or roller pressure to make it fit.

5. All contact principles The length of the fixed guide rail must ensure that the dynamic guide rail is in the two extreme positions of the maximum itinerary, and contact the fixed guide rail (will not exceed the fixed guide rail) to ensure that the guide track is always contacting during the contact process.

6. When the compensation force deformation and thermal deformation principles and thermal deformation of the guide rail and its supporting parts or temperature changes, when the design guide rails and their supporting parts, strive to make it deformation and become a required shape. For example, the beam guide rail of the Dragon Gate machine tool is made into a medium convex to compensate the bending deformation caused by the weight of the spindle box (or blade).
