Linear stages are widely used, especially in the automation industry. The use of automation equipment can improve work efficiency and reduce production costs. If the service life of the linear stage can't reach expectations, then the purpose of reducing the production cost can't be achieved. If the service life of the linear stage is expected or longer, we need to maintain it daily. When the linear stage is not used for a long time, if we don't take care of it, it will cause problems such as reduced accuracy and speed, shortened service life, corrosion and rust. How should we maintain the linear stage?
1. If the motor conforming to the linear stage is a DC motor, when the DC motor is not used, the brush should be removed from the DC motor to prevent chemical corrosion from damaging the commutator, and then reduce the function of the commutator or the linear stage function of the whole commutator, causing the linear stage to fail to operate normally.
2. In the rainy season or environment with high relative humidity, the linear stage should be electrified regularly. When the motor is not working, that is, the machine tool is locked, it is idling, and the moisture in the linear stage is dissipated by using the heating principle of electrical components to ensure the stability and reliability of the function.
3. Conventional power supply can ensure the charging needs of backup batteries but always check the battery voltage. If it is too low, it needs to be replaced immediately to prevent data loss caused by power failure.
4. For unused linear stages, antirust oil and lubricating oil should be used regularly to prevent rust or corrosion and avoid problems in use.
